Although passing your state's real estate exam is a significant step, it still does not qualify you as a realtor. You must become a member of the National Association of Realtors, or NAR, in order to obtain that designation. When you join NAR, you automatically become a member of three associations: one at the national, one at the state, and one at the local level.
